Passion for Problem Solving
So you know, a fun fact about me is that people bring me their problems, and I really enjoy working on that problem. I get just the most joy helping someone in a problem, and I really love working on the cars. Taking them apart, putting them back together—it’s my passion. So it’s not a problem to me, or a stress that it might be to you. And I just love really doing it.
Faith as a Driving Force
My motivation comes from loving Jesus.
Honestly, I get to wake up every morning, thank him for another breath of air, and serve others. I love serving people, and fixing their cars is one way I have a gift from God to do that.
Serving Others Through Mechanics
What I love about what I do is that I get to serve the Lord and I get to help people. I just love helping people. I have a servant’s heart, and god has shown me that. I wanna continue to do that with Royce’s Repair Shop, fixing cars for people. Super excited to do that.
Journey into Mechanics
My backstory, let’s see. Started working on cars when I bought my first car when I was a teenager. I couldn’t afford to take it to a mechanic, so I had to learn how to work on my own car, and honestly, as a kid, watching my dad work on our car just fell in love with mechanics and working and understanding how things work. Technician by heart, loved to take things apart, put them back together, and as I grew up, I just always wanted to work on my own cars. The desire to learn about it and save some money, and learning that I did it really well, and like doing it, and as I’ve done many jobs military and tech jobs, I prefer the physical labor and working on a car and it’s a trade and super excited to start doing it for people you know, for not just for myself.
Personal Achievements in Car Repair
Something I’m really grateful for being able to do was my own head gasket. It was a job that required me to get all the way down to the engine. It’s not a normal routine maintenance kind of job and I wasn’t even sure if I could do it but God helped me and honestly when I finished it I’m super proud of myself and just really grateful that I was able to do that and then along the way I’ve been able to do two timing belts on cars that it’s a pretty heavy job and eight hours later I’m like wow I did that like shocked myself which gave me the confidence to even start a business in Royce’s repair shop. So super grateful and just honored to be able to do that.
Wisdom and Life Verses
I guess the best wisdom that I’ve I’ve gotten for me is to have a life verse.
The scripture that really spoke to me when I sought one was Proverbs 3:5-6. You know, to trust in the Lord with all my heart and not to seek my own understanding because my biggest crutch was I wanted to understand as a technician by trade in how God designed me. I wanted to understand everything, and in life, you don’t always get to understand everything, and leaning on God for all that and trusting him has just propelled my life. It’s been the best piece of wisdom that anyone’s ever given me, and it’s been true and true that the bible is my guide.
The Importance of Humility and Learning
I would say the best piece of advice I’ve ever received has to be to say, Tell me more. Because I think I know it all a lot of times. And when I think I know it, I usually don’t. And the best way to handle that is to ask someone or ask God for more, to tell you more, and to learn. It was given to me by a very wonderful mentor in my life, and it’s been very helpful to keep me humble and helpful to just continue to keep me learning because I don’t know it all.
